98. Too Good for Optional Day Trips

The rest of our group woke up at the crack of dawn to load the bus for Varazdin. Not us! We love our home base here in Zagreb. Brenna and Scarlet's Day of Fun began at the leisurely time of 9 am at the hotel breakfast buffet. This place has everything! Including real hot chocolate, not the pudding stuff most of the coffee shops serve. After a few servings of pancakes, stuff covered in Nutella, and boiled eggs, we rolled back up to our rooms to get ready for the day.

I might make it sound like we are all museumed out. but every once in a while we find some we really enjoy and Zagreb has been full of them! Today the museum of choice was the Arts and Crafts Museum. What sorority girl wouldn't want to visit an Arts and Crafts museum! We saw the development of style throughout history including my favorite, art nouveau. This time period was all about swirls and pretty things! We miraculously avoided an entire school group, and zipped through the modern art section. Grandpa wasn't into that.

They had cool bathroom decor

The forecast promised rain. So we really didn't think our day would go much further. However we were pleasantly surprised that it only sprinkled a little bit. I think we have seen everything Zagreb has to offer in walking distance, so the rest of the afternoon was spent SHOPPING! While Scarlet and I might have different tastes, we discovered that we can wear the same size clothes! Now Arden, Scarlet and I can share wardrobes. This summer will almost be like I'm back at the Theta house :)

We loved our dinner so much last night, we decided to dine in the same restaurant. We had the same waitress too. She remembered all of our orders and was really great! Again we ate way too much and headed back to the hotel to pack up for our early morning. Grandpa says not to trust the page boys to bring our bags down, so our only responsibility for the day is to lug our own down three whole flights of stairs and onto the bus. Life is hard.
